COWARDS

COWARDS!

A. Alexander, May 22nd, 2007
It would be nice to be able to say, "We never saw this coming," but that would be a lie. Deep down inside everyone knew that the Democrats would eventually cower before Bush's Iraq war belligerence. These Democrats are after all, more or less, the same spineless crew that rolled over and voted for Mister Bush to invade Iraq in the first place. And don't let them rewrite
history...Democrats knew the basis for the Iraq war was a pack of lies, they just didn't have the courage to stand and be counted.

Cowards!

Now, right on cue, after months of bobbing and weaving and huffing and puffing and fronting and punking --- the Democrats caved and have decided to write a blank check for Mister Cheney and Bush's Iraq War. Everything Bush demanded the Democrats will deliver - including NO TIMELINE for withdrawal.

Cowards!

Every major poll in the nation revealed that, on Iraq, a large majority of the American people were on the Democratic Party's side. All the Democrats would have had to do was make a compelling case for cutting off funding, had Bush continued in his obstinance, and the American people would have quickly seen the light and supported that move, too. Instead, the Democrats immediately reverted to their spineless, warmongering Democratic Leadership Council ways and caved into Bush's
bluster!

Cowards!

These embarrassing, weak-kneed and spineless Democrats didn't even have the political courage to challenge a President with a 28 percent approval rating.

Cowards!

These sorry, sad, and hapless Democrats couldn't even muster the political guts to take on a President that 39 percent of the people want to see impeached.

Cowards!

Just as the Democrats were busy surrendering their soul to George W., it was reported that by the coming Christmas Mister Bush will DOUBLE the number of combat forces in Iraq. Rather than stopping the madness, the Democrats' weak nature has guaranteed the wars further escalation.

Cowards!

Know what the saddest part about this entire sick circumstance is? That so many people knowingly, albeit out of sheer desperation, allowed themselves to be duped into thinking the Democratic Party had somehow evolved beyond the timorous, tremulous and lily-livered jellyfish that rolled over
for the Iraq War in the first place.

Cowards!

"There's an old saying in Tennessee -- I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee -- that says, fool me once, shame on, shame on you. Fool me --- you can't get fooled again!"

Indeed, shame on all of us for daring to believe today's Democrats would be anything more than the cowards they've been for the last 40 years.
